Since 1982 Skandinavisk Orgelcentrum has supplied church organs in many sizes and styles. However, the "Ansgar-Organ" is the most magnificent instrument in the history of our company, so far.
This instrument has a tremendous dynamic scope, ranging from the most subtle, barely hearable up to a pompous, majestic "mountain" of sound. Of course it should be considered that the organ has 152 voices distributed on 8 organ works, which is played from a movable console with 5 keyboards and a pedal.
From the very beginning the project was prepared thoroughly in collaboration with the organist, congregation council and the architect of the church, taking more than a year to complete.
The congregation council decided that the design of this organ should be made considering a romantic style and the English cathedral organ as an example although with an integrated French "undertone".
Peculiar to this church is its architecture, giving very special acoustical conditions. Because of this it was possible to accommodate the 8 separate organ works different places in the church room.
